Playa Manzanillo is a sheltered beach close to central Puerto Escondido, with calm water, beach restaurants, and loungers. It is one of the easier beaches in town for swimming.
The rocky area between Playa Manzanillo and Playa Puerto Angelito is also a useful snorkeling spot, with a chance of seeing turtles and rays when conditions are clear.
