The Templo de la Inmaculada Concepcion stands beside Bellas Artes and is part of the former convent complex. Built in the mid-18th century, it is best known for its large dome, often compared to the dome of Les Invalides in Paris.
It fits naturally into a walk through San Miguel de Allende's historic centre, especially when visiting the nearby art school and surrounding colonial streets.
