Benjamín Rivera Noriega Airport

Culebra's tiny airstrip, named after a local mayor, sits just north of Dewey. Single-runway, single-terminal, no jet bridges, no security theatre — the kind of small Caribbean airport that has all but disappeared elsewhere. Air Flamenco and Vieques Air Link run several daily hops to and from San Juan and Ceiba in nine-seat Britten-Norman Islanders.

For first-time visitors the flight itself is a sight: ten or fifteen minutes over the cays and reefs of the Spanish Virgin Islands, often low enough to see turtles in the water. Bring earplugs; the engines are loud.
