Montgomery's food scene leans Southern — barbecue, soul food, fried catfish, fried chicken — with a small but real fine-dining downtown scene that has grown since the Equal Justice Initiative's museum complex started bringing in out-of-state visitors. The riverfront end of Commerce Street and the Cloverdale neighbourhood are the two main concentrations.
