Homer's attractions are mostly outdoors — halibut fishing on Kachemak Bay, hiking in the state park, watching bald eagles from the Spit, or simply watching the water and the mountains. The Pratt Museum is excellent for context, and Kachemak Bay State Park across the bay is the main wilderness destination. Bring rain gear; the weather changes fast.
