Downtown Livermore

Revitalised walkable Main Street with tasting rooms, restaurants and the Bankhead Theater

Address First Street, Livermore, CA 94550

The central stretch of First Street has been substantially rebuilt over the past two decades, with new public plazas, the Bankhead Theater, the Bothwell Arts Center, and the Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center anchoring a pedestrian-friendly downtown. The street is lined with restaurants, tasting rooms, breweries, ice cream shops, and a Saturday farmers' market.

A statue of the city's namesake Robert Livermore, the English-born Mexican-era ranchero, stands at the corner of First and L Streets. Downtown is small enough to cover on foot in an afternoon and is a pleasant base for an evening before or after a day in the wine country.
