Art Cinema

Art Cinema is Hartford's last operating old-style movie house, built in 1919 in the South End and later renamed when it shifted toward art films. The draw is less about any one screening than the survival of a neighbourhood cinema from a much older city.

It is a niche stop, but film and theatre-history people will appreciate the continuity. Check listings before going, since the building is only interesting to most visitors if there is something on.
