Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport (FLL), in the south of the city, is a major hub for budget carriers (JetBlue, Spirit, Southwest) and handles most domestic and a growing range of Caribbean and Latin American flights; it is often the cheaper alternative to Miami International, 40 km south. Amtrak and Tri-Rail both run through the city — Tri-Rail is the commuter line linking Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach, and is much cheaper than a rental car for day trips along the coast. Greyhound has a downtown terminal. By car, I-95 runs straight through, with the Florida Turnpike a little further west. By sea, Port Everglades is one of the busiest cruise ports in the world.
