Universal Orlando runs two original parks side by side — Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure — connected by a walking path through CityWalk, its outdoor entertainment and dining district. A third park, Epic Universe, opened in 2025 to the south, making Universal Orlando a multi-day destination in its own right.
Universal Studios Florida is the older half, built around a working backlot concept with attractions based on blockbuster films: Jurassic World, Minion Land, and the Horror Nights maze lineup that takes over the park every autumn. Islands of Adventure is the more ride-heavy park, home to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter's Hogsmeade village and Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, consistently rated one of the best theme park rides in the world.
Epic Universe, which opened in 2025, added a fifth gate to the Orlando market and expanded the Wizarding World to include a Ministry of Magic section, alongside lands based on Nintendo, How to Train Your Dragon, and classic Universal Monsters. Combination tickets covering all three parks are available; staying on-site at Loews properties earns early park entry.
