Half Shell is a small, casual seafood and oyster bar a block from Neptune Park. The kitchen does Lowcountry classics — shrimp and grits, fried oysters, she-crab soup — alongside a respectable raw bar. The room is small and tight; the back patio is the better seat in good weather.
Lunch and dinner. The local Wild Georgia shrimp dish, when in season, is the order to make. Service is friendly but cheerful rather than fast. Reservations not generally taken; arrive before 7 pm on weekends.
