Mullet Bay is a long-running favourite on Mallery Street in the village, set in an old Southern-style house with a wraparound porch and tall windows that fill the dining rooms with light. Coastal Georgia seafood is the focus: blue crab, Georgia white shrimp, oysters in season, grouper or flounder grilled or blackened.
The atmosphere is friendly and slightly noisy, especially on summer evenings. Prices are moderate. Reservations recommended for dinner. The bar at the front does respectable cocktails and the local Saint Simons beers on tap.
