Howard Steamboat Museum

The Howard Steamboat Museum is a late Victorian mansion tied to the Howard Shipyards, one of the great names in Ohio River steamboat building. Inside are carved woodwork, stained and leaded glass, original furnishings, and exhibits on boats built at the yards.

It sits across the river in Jeffersonville, close enough to pair with Louisville's riverfront sights. The museum is most rewarding if you are interested in river history, old houses, or the steamboat era.
