The Falling Waters Trail is a paved 10.5-mile former rail line that runs from the western edge of Jackson out to Concord, crossing farmland and several small lakes. It is essentially flat — old railroad grades — and popular with cyclists, runners, and roller-skiers.
The trail is the local section of a longer network that will eventually link the Detroit-to-Chicago Iron Belle Trail. A trailhead with parking and a small kiosk sits at the western end of West Avenue.
