Concord's cafe and bar scene is small but improving. Independent coffee roasters are starting to push out the chains downtown, and a handful of breweries and brewpubs operate within a short drive of the centre. The night ends early in most places — this is a state-government town, not a college town — but you can always find a good pint and a late conversation along Main Street.
