Littleton punches well above its weight for a town of four thousand people. Main Street alone is worth a dedicated afternoon, and the surrounding White Mountains offer hiking, skiing, and some of the most dramatic scenery in New England. The Ammonoosuc River runs right through the centre of town, and its banks make for easy walking.
