Northern New Mexico offers some of the best day trips in the state. Visit the nearby pueblos and, if you are lucky, catch a feast day procession or traditional dance. The hot springs at Ojo Caliente are about an hour north. In winter, Ski Santa Fe is just 16 miles up the mountain. The High Road to Taos through Chimayo, Truchas, and the mountain villages is one of the most scenic drives in the Southwest.
