Shopping is a major draw in Santa Fe, and it is easy to spend a whole day at it. Start at the Palace of the Governors on the Plaza, where Native American artisans from over 20 tribes sell handmade jewelry and crafts daily. Canyon Road is the art gallery corridor, with over 100 galleries in a half-mile stretch. The Railyard District has the Santa Fe Farmers Market on Saturday mornings along with contemporary galleries and boutiques. Expect high prices -- this is a wealthy town -- but the quality of the handmade goods is genuine.
