The cocktail bar inside the Hotel St. Francis on Don Gaspar, two blocks from the Plaza. The room is small, low-lit, and high-ceilinged — Spanish mission monastic-revival, with hand-hewn beams and iron fixtures. The cocktail menu is built around Southwestern botanicals: piñon, sage, juniper, prickly pear.
The garden patio overlooking the church is the prize seat. Live music several nights a week — quiet jazz or flamenco guitar. The seasonal cocktails are well worth the prices.
