Warren Street

The spine of downtown Hudson, Warren Street runs almost exactly one mile from the train station to the bluff above the Hudson River. It began attracting antiques dealers in the late 1980s when rents were cheap and the buildings largely empty; today it is one of the densest concentrations of antique shops in the northeastern United States, alongside galleries, independent bookshops, boutiques, and some of the city's best restaurants. The Federal and Greek Revival storefronts lining the street are largely intact, giving it a coherent period character that sets it apart from most small-town main streets. Allow a full afternoon to walk it properly.
