The Greensboro Arboretum is a 17-acre public garden within Lindley Park, a few minutes' drive west of downtown. It is laid out in distinct themed collections — winter garden, butterfly garden, herb and vegetable beds, conifer collection — joined by short paths, with a small gazebo at the centre.
Free, always open. A pleasant short walk and a good place for an hour of quiet, particularly in spring when the dogwoods and azaleas are in flower.
