Mayfest in May turns downtown into a week-long arts and music festival. Juneteenth celebrations honour African American heritage. Tulsa Oktoberfest at River West Festival Park (2100 S. Jackson) is among the best in the country — Bavarian bands, German food, and craft vendors every October.
The Gateway International Balloon Festival and Jazz on Greenwood are popular summer draws. The Tulsa State Fair fills Expo Square each autumn. Christmas Lights in the Park at the River Parks Pedestrian Bridge runs through December and into January.
The Tulsa Philharmonic Orchestra, Ballet, and Opera all perform through the autumn and winter at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center downtown.
