Getting There

Charleston International Airport (CHS) sits 20 km northwest of the historic district and handles domestic flights from across the eastern and central US, with a growing number of transatlantic connections. From the airport, ride-hail apps or a taxi will get you downtown in about 25 minutes. Amtrak's Silver Service and Palmetto trains stop at North Charleston on the route between New York and Miami, and long-distance buses from Greyhound and Megabus also serve the city.
