Wasatch Beers is Utah's oldest craft brewery (founded 1986 in Park City) and its Sugar House brew pub is the main Salt Lake outlet. The flagship beers — Polygamy Porter, First Amendment Lager, Apricot Hefeweizen — are reliable, and the brew pub menu of burgers, pizzas, and salads is solid pub food.
Polygamy Porter's tongue-in-cheek branding ("Why have just one?") was deliberately provocative when it launched and is still a Utah souvenir of choice. The beer itself is a perfectly decent traditional porter. The Sugar House location's outdoor deck overlooks the neighbourhood's main shopping strip.
