One of the breweries that kicked off the Scott's Addition transformation, Hardywood Park has been producing some of Virginia's best craft beer since 2011. The Scott's Addition taproom is a large, airy space with indoor seating, a beer garden, and a rotating selection of 20+ beers on draft. The Gingerbread Stout (released in late November) is a Richmond institution and sells out almost immediately; the year-round beers — the Great Return IPA, the Sidamo — are consistently good.
Food trucks park outside on weekends. The atmosphere is energetic and social; this is Richmond at its best contemporary self.
