Kitsap is more peninsula than destination: a quiet patchwork of Navy towns, ferry harbours, state parks and forest. Most visitors arrive on a boat — from Seattle to Bremerton or Bainbridge, or from Edmonds to Kingston — and the best things to do are clustered around the waterfront in Bremerton, Poulsbo and Port Orchard, with the Bloedel Reserve and a couple of historic Navy collections worth a half-day on their own.
