Hands On Children's Museum

One of the best children's museums in the Pacific Northwest

A large, busy children's museum on the East Bay waterfront that consistently ranks among the best of its kind in the country. Eight indoor galleries cover everything from a working art studio to a salmon-life-cycle climber to a small-scale grocery store and waterworks tables — and the outdoor area includes a forest play space, climbing structures and a small fishing dock on Budd Inlet.

Designed for children up to about 10 years old. The cafe and a busy gift shop round out the visit. Tickets sell out at weekends and during school holidays, so book online ahead.
