Olympia's centre is small and easily walkable. The dome of the State Capitol dominates everything, and the downtown grid running north towards Percival Landing is best explored on foot. The Washington State History Museum is over in Tacoma, but Olympia has its own quieter cluster of small museums and historic buildings.
