Percival Landing

Waterfront park and boardwalk along Budd Inlet

Percival Landing is the working harbourfront-turned-park at the northern end of downtown — a 30-acre site of boardwalks, viewing platforms, public sculpture and grassy berms running along Budd Inlet. The 70-foot observation tower at the south end gives the best view of the harbour, the surrounding hills and the State Capitol dome to the south.

The park is at its busiest during Wednesday and Saturday Farmers Market mornings, when much of downtown spills out along the waterfront. The 1910 tugboat Sand Man, restored and moored at the centre of the boardwalk, is a National Register of Historic Places landmark and one of the last steam tugs left in the Pacific Northwest.
