The Duna do Pôr do Sol is the daily ritual — climb the dune and watch the sunset with the whole village. Pedra Furada is the landmark rock arch on the beach to the east. Lagoa do Paraíso is the stunning freshwater lagoon accessible by buggy, with floating restaurants in the water. Lagoa Azul is a smaller, quieter lagoon walkable from the village. The main beach is the centre of village life. Kitesurfing dominates from August to January when the trade winds blow. The whole area sits within the Jericoacoara National Park.
