Bafoussam's sights centre on Bamiléké traditional culture — the royal palaces, the chiefdom compounds, and the markets where that culture is most tangible for visitors. The highlands around the city add crater lakes and waterfalls. The city is also a launching pad for Foumban and the Ring Road country further north.
