Big Mankon Cathedral

The seat of the Catholic Archdiocese of Bamenda, a large modern church on the southern edge of the city. The architecture combines a basilica plan with Cameroonian decorative motifs — carved wooden doors and an interior of red volcanic stone.

Mass on Sundays is well attended and a good way to hear local choirs sing in Pidgin and English. The grounds are open during daylight hours.
