The Cameroon Art Museum is a compact stop for traditional art, with masks, carved figures, bronzes, and ritual objects from several of the country's cultural regions. It is not a grand national museum, but the collection gives useful context before travelling north or west into areas where many of these forms are still part of ceremonial life.
Allow less than an hour. Labels and opening hours can be inconsistent, so it is best treated as a flexible addition to a Yaounde museum morning rather than the main event.
