The Basilique Marie-Reine-des-Apôtres (Mary Queen of the Apostles Basilica) is a Roman Catholic basilica in the southern part of Yaoundé, one of the significant Catholic pilgrimage sites in Cameroon. The church is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary and draws worshippers from across the country for feast days and religious holidays.
The building itself is architecturally more ambitious than most churches in Yaoundé, with a prominent position and interior that rewards a quiet visit. The surrounding neighbourhood is calmer than the city centre, making the walk there (if you approach on foot) more pleasant than most Yaoundé street-level experiences.
