Cafe Greco has been pulling espresso on Road 9 for decades, and it shows in the unhurried, intellectual atmosphere — students, writers, and longtime Maadi residents linger over coffee rather than grabbing it to go. It is widely cited as having some of the best coffee in Cairo, and unlike most of the newer cafes in the area, it has never felt the need to chase a more polished look.
A second branch operates inside the CSA compound, useful if you are already there for the Thursday market.
