Accra has plenty of coastline but the city's beaches are a mixed bag. The Atlantic surf is strong, the currents are dangerous, and the urban beaches double as fishing grounds and informal toilets. Labadi is the best of the in-town options; for actual swimming and surfing, head west out of the city to Kokrobite or Bojo Beach.
