Holy Trinity Cathedral

Historic Anglican cathedral near Accra's old coastal government quarter

Holy Trinity Cathedral is one of the stronger colonial-era church buildings in central Accra, set close to the old administrative quarter and the coast. Its pale stone, pointed arches, and formal Anglican proportions feel very different from the concrete-and-glass energy of newer Accra.

It works best as part of a walk through old Accra, combined with Jamestown, the National Theatre area, or Independence Square. Check before entering if a service or event is underway; otherwise a short exterior stop is enough for most travellers.
