Accra's main urban beach, east of the centre and known to everyone simply as La. A small entrance fee gets you onto the sand, where you'll find drumming circles, horseback rides, plastic chairs under thatch umbrellas, and a steady supply of grilled tilapia and Star beer. Busy and noisy on Sundays. The water is rough; mind the undertow.
