The former home of the American sociologist and civil rights pioneer, who took Ghanaian citizenship at the age of ninety-three and is buried in the garden. The house, kept much as he left it, holds his library, his desk, and a moving collection of personal photographs. A small but thoughtful museum, and a useful corrective to the idea that Pan-Africanism was a purely African invention.
