St Peter's is the seat of the Catholic Archdiocese of Kumasi and the most architecturally ambitious church in the city. The vaulted nave is quiet even when the surrounding streets are at their loudest, and the stained glass is unusually good for a Ghanaian provincial church.
It sits within easy walking distance of the Manhyia Palace and the Kejetia roundabout, making it an easy stop on a half-day walk through the city centre. Mass schedules are posted at the gate; visitors are welcome outside service times provided they dress and behave appropriately.
