Port Louis Theatre

Port Louis Theatre is one of the city's old civic landmarks, built in 1822 with seating for about 600 people. Performances have historically included drama, music, and theatre in French and Creole English, with jazz and classical concerts also appearing on the programme.

Even if there is no performance, the building adds a useful stop to a walk through the older administrative heart of Port Louis. Check locally for current shows, as schedules are easier to confirm from posters, newspapers, or the tourist office than from the street.
