CLA Studios (Cinéma Les Atlas) is Ouarzazate's second major film production facility, located on the southeastern edge of town on the road toward Zagora. Smaller than the Atlas Film Studios but more frequently active, CLA has provided sets and locations for European and American productions including Asterix and Obelix: Mission Cleopatra and various French television films. The studio's standing sets include a large Egyptian street and a traditional Moroccan market quarter. When not in active production, guided tours are available — check availability locally as schedules are irregular.

A story
The CLA Studios were built to handle overflow from the nearby Atlas Film Studios, but ended up hosting some of the most recognisable sets in television history. The full-scale replica of an ancient Egyptian street built for an Italian mini-series was left standing and was later repurposed for several other productions — a common fate for sets that are simply too expensive to demolish.
