The main city beach runs for several kilometres along the bay, starting near the port. Beach bars line the promenade serving drinks and snacks throughout the day, and camel rides are on offer for the curious. On clear days you can look out across the strait and see the Rock of Gibraltar. Busy in summer, quieter and more atmospheric off-season.
