Tangier's main beach stretches along the bay east of the port, a long arc of sand backed by cafes and beach bars. On a clear day you can see Gibraltar from the waterline. It gets crowded in summer but is pleasant enough in spring and autumn. For quieter swimming, head west along the coast toward Cap Spartel, where smaller coves sit below the cliffs.
