Getting There

Tangier is one of the easiest Moroccan cities to reach. Fast ferries run several times a day from Tarifa in Spain, taking about 35 minutes, though delays are common. Longer ferry services also operate from Algeciras. Keep in mind the time difference: Morocco is one hour behind Spain in winter, two hours in summer.

The city's Ibn Battouta Airport has flights to several European cities and Moroccan destinations. The new high-speed train (Al Boraq) connects Tangier to Casablanca in just over two hours via Rabat and Kenitra, making rail a comfortable option if you are already in Morocco.

From the ferry port, the CTM bus station is a short walk away. For the train station, take a petit taxi: the metered fare should be around 10 to 15 dirhams.
