The northwestern tip of Africa, where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic. A lighthouse marks the point, and the views out over both seas are spectacular. The drive out from Tangier passes through forests of eucalyptus and pine, with sandy beaches below the road. Most visitors combine Cap Spartel with a stop at the nearby Caves of Hercules.
