The peninsula tip on the northwest of Freetown, Aberdeen is where most international travellers stay. The neighbourhood sits between Lumley Beach and the Aberdeen Creek and is home to the bulk of the city's restaurants, bars, hotels, and casinos. The Lebanese-Sierra Leonean restaurant scene is especially strong here.
Cape Sierra Leone, at the very tip, has views back over the city and ocean. The Aberdeen Bridge crosses the creek and links to the main city; in the dry season, fishing canoes pull up to the bridge's pylons to unload the catch.
