Things to Do

Bizerte's centre is the old port — the small picturesque harbour ringed by Ottoman-era forts and the white-and-blue lanes of the medina above it. The Kasbah and the smaller Ksiba dominate the harbour entrance; the Spanish Fort looks down from a hill behind. Beyond the medina, Bizerte is a fairly ordinary working Tunisian port city, but the coastline north and east — the Cap Blanc headland, Ras Jebel, and the beaches around Raf Raf and Sidi Salem — gives day-trippers plenty of options.
