Fuzhou Museum is the city's broad local-history museum, useful for understanding a place that can feel fragmented between old lanes, riverfront development, temples, and modern traffic. Exhibits usually cover archaeology, maritime links, local crafts, and the culture of the Min River basin.
It is a practical orientation stop rather than a blockbuster. Go before or after Sanfang Qixiang so the old neighbourhoods have more context, and do not worry if the displays are uneven; the city story is still worth getting straight.
