Wu Mountain is one of the three hills traditionally associated with old Fuzhou. It rises right inside the city, mixing wooded paths, pavilions, rock inscriptions, and small historic structures in a way that makes it feel more like a classical urban landscape than a simple park.
It is a useful counterweight to Fuzhou's temples and lane districts. Climb slowly, pause at the viewpoints, and the city's geography becomes clearer: river, hills, and dense streets layered around a very old urban core.
