Tianjin's expat bar scene clusters around the Youyi Lu "Bar Street" in Hexi District and the Italian Concession on the north bank of the river, where restored European buildings now house cafés and wine bars with tables spilling into the street. In summer the concession area is one of the best places in town for an evening drink.
